But the trends that are making rounds from two and three decades ago actually date back even further than that. With one look at '60s fashion, it's apparent that many references we attribute to the Y2K phenomenon go beyond the early aughts. Several of those resurgent '60s fashion trends are worth a second glance. Before Fannie Schiavoni's collections of party-ready pieces, Paco Rabanne had mastered the artistry of chainmail, while Diana Ross and The Supremes were sporting pailettes and other party sequins long before they become a fixture in the 2023 resort collections.
